How Companies Use NoSQL & Couchbase for Interactive Applications

NoSQL databases including Couchbase are increasingly being selected as the backend technology for web and mobile apps. Document databases in particular are well suited for a large number of different use cases as an operational datastore.

This session provides a brief overview of Couchbase Server, a document database and its underlying distributed architecture. In addition, Dipti will present some common use cases of Couchbase with a drill down into three specific customer use cases.

Dipti Borkar is the Director of Solution Engineering at Couchbase where she is responsible for the global technical sales organization. She has played many roles at Couchbase more recently running the product management team responsible for the product roadmap of Couchbase Server. She actively works with customers and users to understand emerging requirements for low-latency, scalable data stores. Dipti has deep technical experience in the database industry having worked at IBM as a software engineer and Development Manager for the DB2 server team and then at MarkLogic as a Senior Product Manager. Dipti holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego with a specialization in databases and holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley.
