Security usually has been a 'second thought' to NoSQL applications. Apache Accumulo and Apache HBase offer some pretty compelling security features. One of them being 'cell level' access control.

Using these features, we can build highly scalable applications that also provide adequate security. For example, we can have a credit risk analysis application where only people with certain access level can view full social security number.

This talk will high light some of the security features available on HBase and Accumulo. We will look at some code-snippets and a demo illustrating key points
